We consider oursevles very lucky when going to the supermarket.  This is escpecially true if one has ever done grocery shopping in another country.  

We Americans have so many more options of goods in the store.  This is good?  Right?

We from a health standpoint, the answer is a resounding, “NO!”  so many of our choices in the grocery are not for our own good.  The choices are detremental to good health.

Food is the most important medicine we have, and also the most dangerous medicine available to us.

So much of what is in the grocery stores in the U.S. is not in the least bit healthy, but runs counter to great health.  The best shopping in our stores in this country is usually around the perimeter of the store.  This is where one finds the produce (vegetables and fruits), the fresh meats and fish.  Down the ailes in the interior of the store is lies the processed foods, the foods high in sugar (candies, cookies, chips, sodas, cereals), and the foods chcked full of glutens (cereals, breads, chips, pasta).
